A letter to future readers

To my faithful reader(s),

Why blog? that is a question I've asked myself a thousand times in the last ten minutes. Is its soul purpose to inform the public? Maybe. Is it to proclaim one's opinions on the unimportant and immaterial? More than likely. Is it to give me a sense of accomplishment and self worth? Without a doubt.

The main reason I will blog is in a vain attempt to capture singular moments in time so that I may reflect on those aformentioned moments down the road. A diary or journal if you will. I have attempted to blog in the past(This will be the fourth), and yet, if I'm being truthful, each of the previous attempts flat out sucked(Although one had some shining moments of which I hope to link this blog to). They were boring, poorly written, and limited in scope.

Which brings me to this blog. A fresh start in a world where people blog about the banal and uninteresting. I will now join those ranks.

I promise you the reader(s) these points:

1. I will never blog about politics. Nobody cares about what a 30 something from Wisconsin feels about our government. Ill leave that to the MSNBC's, FOX's, and CNN's of the world.

2. My posts will not appeal to everyone. Movie lovers will probably not care about my sports columns and vice versa.

3. I will post columns as I write them. There will be days when I may write or post several columns or there maybe days or weeks between posts. I guess what I am attempting to get across is that I will not post columns to post columns. Understand?

4. I will not hide my blatant favoritism for certain sports teams, movies, video games, music groups, etc. If I sway reader's opinions on a subject, hooray for me.

5. More than likely I will attempt to create cycles of posts, give up on them after a few tries, return to them later, give up on them again, return later, etc. Its all but guaranteed, hence the warning.

Outside of these five points, I hope this blog will evolve like some creepy, lab created monkey with eye balls growing out of its back(Can you picture that? good.)

I only ask one thing from you for all of my "hard work". If you like or enjoy a particular post please pass it along to others who you may think will enjoy it as well. I am a human after all, and like all humans I crave attention and feedback for even the smallest of accomplishments. If you have questions, comments or concerns, please email me. Chances are you may be the only one and I will more than likely note them in a future post. See, you can be a part of the action with very little effort.

Beyond that, there's nothing else to say but enjoy!
